⚖️ Opposites worksheets

Ages 3–5Concepts · language · thinking skillsBlack and white · US Letter or A4

Seven pairs of opposites: same – different, big – small, many – few, long – short, in – out, on – under, and heavy – light. Each page starts with a picture card for both words, then children color the pictures that show the first word and circle the ones that show the second. Talking about the pictures builds vocabulary as much as the worksheet itself.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use an opposites page?

Look at the two cards at the top and say the words together. Then ask “Which one is big?” for each row before your child colors or circles.

Why “many” and “few” instead of “more” and “less”?

Many and few describe a single group, which is easier for young children. You can still ask “Which box has more?”

Can I print just one pair?

Yes, pick it in the Opposites menu. “All” gives the seven-page set.

What age is this for?

Ages 3–5. Heavy and light is the hardest pair because the pictures cannot be lifted; talk about real objects first.
