🔢 Number tracing worksheets 0–9

Ages 4–6Number formation · counting · number recognitionBlack and white · US Letter or A4

Each page focuses on one number. The big number shows numbered starting dots and direction arrows, so children learn where to start and which way to go. Next to it, children count and color the right number of pictures (“Color 5 apples”), then find and circle the number among others. The bottom half has dotted practice rows: on the easy level every number is dotted, on the hard level children write most of them on their own.

Frequently asked questions

Where should my child start each number?

Start at the dot marked 1 and follow the arrows. Numbers with two strokes, such as 4 and 5, have a second numbered dot for the second stroke.

Why is zero on a page with an empty basket?

Zero is easier to understand as “none at all”. The zero page shows an empty basket, so children connect the number with the idea of nothing.

Which level should I choose?

Easy has every practice number dotted. Medium leaves more numbers to write alone, and hard has only a few dotted models. Move up when your child traces the easy pages comfortably.

Can I print all ten numbers at once?

Yes. Choose “All numbers 0–9” to get ten pages, or download the ready-made PDF below.
